One Light, Two Answers

You'll learnwhat turning a lamp up really changes, when to reach for the wave picture and when for the photon one, and why anything that moves has a wavelength.

Turn a lamp up and its photons do not get stronger — there are simply more of them. Ask light two different questions and it gives two different kinds of answer, and electrons do exactly the same. Twelve short steps; press Next for each one.

Before you start
What you're looking at
A lamp whose photons are drawn as travelling dots, then a double slit, a metal plate, and one line for everything with momentum.
The question
What does brightness really change, and when is light a wave or a particle?
