The CSV stores raw meters and meters per second. The cards and graph use your selected units. Speed comes from the phone when available, otherwise from change in position over time.
Safety. Use outdoors. Do not use while driving. A passenger may collect data during a car trip.
Accuracy. Phone location is good to about 5 meters and updates about once per second. That is fine for comparing a straight walk to a loop, not for precise short distances.
