Sinusoidal Functions
A sinusoidal function is the sine wave in any wardrobe: stretched, shifted, or flipped, but always the same smooth repeating shape. Four measurements describe it completely: midline (average of max and min), amplitude (half the swing, measured from the midline), period (length of one cycle), and range (midline plus or minus amplitude). Sine is odd, cosine is even, and frequency is the period flipped upside down.
The mistakes are misreads: the full peak-to-trough swing quoted as amplitude, the maximum quoted as the midline, half a cycle measured as the period, and frequency swapped for period. The lesson names each and drills the clean reads.
