Three Hills, and Only One of Them Matters

Topic 5.6 gave you one hill. A real mechanism has several — one per elementary step — with an intermediate resting in each valley between them. Same axis, same rules, more scenery. The whole skill is knowing which features to read and which to ignore: the tallest peak sets the rate, the endpoints set ΔH, and everything in between is a distraction.
